Our EVP & CFO
Kathleen’s ability to manage people, projects, and processes has been instrumental in helping the university accomplish its financial and operational goals. Recently Ms. Ruiz guided the university through the largest financial turnaround in its 45 year history.
Her specialties include: accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, audit, cash management, tax, board reporting, internal controls, contract negotiations, policies and procedures.
Prior to joining the university in 2011, Ms. Ruiz held management roles in Finance at Boeing and the Walt Disney Company. Kathleen began her career as a CPA and Auditor for Ernst & Young.
Kathleen attended Michigan State University where she received a BA in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration.
